Privacy Policy
Notice provided pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and to Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018. Last updated: August 2026.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Rima S.R.L., VAT no. 14779910968, registered office at Viale Monte Grappa 4, 20124 Milan (MI), Italy. For any request concerning your personal data you can write to info@rima.technology.
2. What data we collect
We only process data relating to professional contexts. Specifically:
- Contact data you give us when you write to us or request a call: first and last name, e-mail address, company, role, phone number and any information contained in your message.
- Technical and browsing data collected automatically by the site: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, date and time of access.
- Data collected through cookies for measurement and marketing, only with your prior consent: see the Cookie Policy.
We do not collect special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR) through this site. Process and production data handled as part of the services we provide at customer sites are covered by a separate data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) and do not pass through this site.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Responding to contact and demo requests
Handling correspondence, arranging discovery calls and technical site visits, preparing a proposal.
Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures at your request, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Managing the contractual relationship and legal obligations
Accounting, tax and administrative obligations connected to the services provided.
Legal basis: legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Site security and operation
Technical logs, abuse prevention and error diagnostics, storing your cookie choice.
Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Statistical measurement and marketing communications
Aggregate analysis of how the site is used and measurement of our campaigns, through non-essential cookies.
Legal basis: your freely given and revocable consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003.
4. Whether providing your data is required
Providing your contact data is optional, but necessary in order to answer your requests: without it we cannot get back to you or arrange a call or a site visit. Consent to non-essential cookies is entirely optional, and declining does not limit your use of the site.
5. Recipients and transfers
Your data may be processed by our authorised personnel and by suppliers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR: the site’s hosting provider, our e-mail service, CRM and statistical analysis tools. We do not disclose or sell your data to third parties for their own purposes.
Where a supplier involves a transfer to countries outside the EEA, the transfer takes place on the basis of a European Commission adequacy decision or of the Standard Contractual Clauses, with the supplementary safeguards required. You can ask us for an up-to-date list of our processors by writing to info@rima.technology.
6. Retention periods
- Contact requests not followed by a contractual relationship: 24 months from the last exchange.
- Data relating to customers and contractual relationships: 10 years from the end of the relationship, for civil and tax obligations.
- Site technical logs: 12 months at most.
- Proof of cookie consent: 6 months, after which you are asked to choose again.
7. Your rights
You can exercise the rights under Articles 15-22 GDPR at any time: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdrawal of consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out. Requests should be sent to info@rima.technology; we will reply within one month.
If you believe the processing infringes the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or bring the matter before the courts.
8. Automated decision-making
Through this site we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you.
9. Changes
This notice may be updated to reflect changes in the law or in the services we offer. The version in force is always published on this page, together with the date it was last updated.
